Areas of Practice
We strive to represent our clients in not only building their legacies, but in preserving them. We strive to be the table you celebrate at in good times, the brain you pick when tough decisions need to be made or plans need to be constructed, and the shoulder your loved ones can lean on when the grieving process is overwhelming.
You’re not just another file here. You’re a person. You, your interests, your legacy, and your loved ones matter.
This list is not exhaustive, but is a list of the areas within which we frequently practice. An unlisted area of practice does not indicate that Your Hometown Attorney, LLC will not represent in that area of law. If, however, Your Hometown Attorney, LLC is unable to provide you and your case with legal representation, efforts will be made to give you information about attorneys, firms, organizations, or professionals that may be able to assist you further. Under no circumstances do we provide tax advice as we are not certified or trained tax professionals.

LEGACY PLANNING: WILLS & TRUSTS
Have you taken the time to think about what will happen to your assets when you are no longer physically here to supervise them? Have you made sure there are plans in place in the event of a catastrophic event or accident that may leave you unable to make decisions in regards to your physical care, finances, and/or property? Do you need help in making sure the plans you already have in place are proper?
We don’t believe in simply “producing paperwork” here. There are plenty of online services that can do that for you. Rather, when you choose to plan your estate through us, we provide a personalized experience with a professional who can see the “Big Picture”. We look beyond today to figure out tomorrow’s implications and tailor your plan to your wants, needs, and wishes taking into consideration your individual family dynamics, assets, and debts. You aren’t planning for your passing, but, rather, you are planning for the beginning of your legacy and the future of your loved ones.

GUARDIAN AD LITEM
Kristen Shelton served as the Toombs Circuit Judicial Court Guardian Ad Litem for almost ten years and is winding down her cases in that role. However, she remains available for custody disputes in the Georgia-CSRA. She brings with her a wealth of personal and professional knowledge in childhood needs and development. She knows all-to-well the importance of giving a voice to the most voiceless / underrepresented parties.
